#2 Dragon Ball Super Broly Coming To IMAX January 16

GameSpot Universe

Broly is going to be HUGE.

Review: ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ sticks to familiarly drawn action

Review: ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ sticks to familiarly drawn action
A scene from the movie "Dragon Ball Super: Broly." (Funimation Films)

Written by series creator Akira Toriyama, “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” broke box office records for the franchise when it opened in Japan in 2018. The new feature is based on the eighth “Dragon Ball” movie, “The Legendary Super Saiyan” (1993).

When the planet Vegeta was destroyed, only a few of the Saiyans who inhabited it escaped. Goku, the hero of the “Dragon Ball” universe, and his frenemy Prince Vegeta (Christopher R. Sabat) came to Earth; Broly survived on the desolate planet Vampa with his father, Paragus. Seeking revenge for the times that Goku defeated him, the evil alien Frieza sends Broly to attack Earth.

A titanic, protracted battle in Antarctica pits Broly against Goku and Vegeta: The characters scream, punch, kick and fire blasts of energy that shatter glaciers, level mountains and trigger volcanic eruptions. Broly doesn’t know how to control his staggering powers, which only makes him more dangerous. It’s hardly a spoiler to say nothing can withstand the combined might of Goku and Vegeta. Frieza departs, vowing revenge yet again, but the good-hearted Goku looks after Broly so they can train together and grow even stronger.

Director Tatsuya Nagamine uses CGI to pump up the explosions and other special effects in the battle scenes, but wisely preserves the familiar, drawn look of the characters. “Broly” delivers exactly what “Dragon Ball” fans want from a feature; newcomers may find themselves lost in places.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly

The Serie A side met Saudi Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, who is President of the country's General Sport Authority, but there was no sign of the Argentinean striker as the entire team - along with chief executive Ivan Gazidis - posed for a photo ahead of their clash with Juventus.

The club also released pictures from a stretching session inside the venue, with Higuain again nowhere to be seen.

Higuain has made it clear to his temporary and parent clubs that he wishes to move to London and be reunited with Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri, who managed the 31-year-old at Napoli, is adamant that he will be the answer to Chelsea's problems in front of goal, and the club have been working hard to convince Juventus to recall the forward from his current loan deal.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans were put on alert by the news, with a number convinced that the Argentinean's ailments are all a smokescreen ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Higuain has a fever you say? More like he’s getting ready to move to West London.'

While another said: 'Higuain has a "fever". Probably the "Chelsea sign me up ASAP" fever.'

Why Chelsea target Gonzalo Higuain starts on the bench for AC Milan against Juventus Metro Sport ReporterWednesday 16 Jan 2019 3:05 pm Share this article via facebookShare this article via twitterShare this article via messenger 553 SHARES Higuain was missing from AC Milan’s squad photo on Wednesday (AC Milan/Twitter) AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain is on the bench for his side’s Italian Super Cup clash with parent club Juventus because he is suffering with a fever. Higuain, 31, is being heavily linked with Chelsea and the striker’s agent has reportedly held discussions in London over a move to Stamford Bridge this January. The Argentina international has only managed six league goals since sealing a temporary switch from Juventus to Milan last summer and is open to joining the Blues. Maurizio Sarri is keen to be reunited with former Napoli man Higuain and Chelsea fans were convinced that the forward was on his way to the club as he was omitted from Milan’s squad photograph on Wednesday. However, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Higuain woke up with a fever on Wednesday morning and would likely miss Milan’s clash with Juve at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata, who has only scored five league goals this season, looks set to leave Chelsea after he was spotted in Spain earlier this week. Sevilla have made no secret of their interest in Morata and are closing in on a loan deal for the attacker. Higuain has come down with a fever (Picture: Getty) Sarri confirmed last week that he’s keen for two more January arrivals to boost their top-four chances. ‘As you know very well I am not in control of the transfer market,’ the Italian said. ‘In my opinion we need two players, but then it is up to the club.’ Higuain thrived under Sarri at Napoli (Picture: Getty) Gennaro Gattuso played down rumours that Higuain was on the verge of joining Chelsea ahead of Milan’s clash with Juve. ‘I hear a lot of rumours on Higuain, but he is training well, he is happy with his team-mates, he is happy with everyone,’ the Milan manager said. In this moment he is available and then we will see whether he will play the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo has hit 15 goals for Juventus since his move from Real Madrid

Why is it being played in Saudi Arabia?

Italy has played its Super Cup overseas for a number of years as it looks to promote the nation's football around the world.

AC Milan and Juventus go head to head in Saudi Arabia

Matteo Salvini, Italy's deputy prime minister, has criticised the decision to play the game in Saudi Arabia with some sections of the stadium reserved for men only.

He said on a Facebook Live broadcast: "That the Italian Super Cup is played in an Islamic country where women can't go to the stadium if they're not accompanied by men is a sadness, a rubbish, I won't watch the game."

And Italian journalist and politician Laura Boldrini tweeted: "Women can go to the Super Coppa Italiana stadium only if accompanied by a man. Are you kidding me?"

What is the Supercoppa Italiana?

It is effectively the Italian version of the Community Shield where the league champions face the domestic cup winners.
Juventus won the double last year, running away with the Serie A title and thrashing AC Milan 4-0 in the Coppa Italia final.
In the Community Shield, if a team wins the Premier League and FA Cup double, they play the second-placed team at Wembley.
In Italy, however, the Serie A and Coppa Italia winners take on the cup runners-up in the Supercoppa.

What is the team news?

#4 Ghostbusters • Jason Reitman • Ivan Reitman

The Nerd Village

A new #Ghostbusters teaser has been dropped by #EW from Jason Reitman, the son of the original GB director Ivan Reitman. There has been NO confirmation of any of the original cast returning for this...

Jason Reitman’s ‘Ghostbusters’ sequel already has a creepy teaser trailer

Less than 24 hours after the announcement was made, the project got its first teaser trailer (see above), courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. The brief video opens on a dark and stormy night, with some mysterious flashes of light coming from a far-off barn. As the camera enters the barn, a tarp

Exclusive: Watch the haunting teaser for Jason Reitman's secret 'Ghostbusters' movie

Last night, we learned Up in the Air and Juno filmmaker Jason Reitman has been quietly working on a secret Ghostbusters movie. This morning, EW can reveal there’s already a video teaser for

Jason Reitman’s film will not be a reboot or a sequel to 2016’s female-driven Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, but will instead continue the story that started in the elder Reitman’s Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2.

“This is the next chapter in the original franchise,” Jason Reitman told EW. “What happened in the ’80s happened in the ’80s, and this is set in the present day.” The movie is scheduled to begin filming this summer in anticipation of a 2020 release.

Neither Sony Pictures nor Reitman shared any details about the film’s plot, including whether or not original Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson will return for the sequel. Harold Ramis, who starred in Ghostbusters and its sequel as Egon Spengler, died in 2014.

Jason Reitman, along with Monster House director Gil Kenan, wrote the new Ghostbusters script in secret before presenting it to his father, who will serve as one of the film’s producers. “It will be a passing of the torch both inside and out,” Ivan Reitman said.

Ghostbusters, which chronicles the adventures of three academics who open a paranormal extermination business, was an instant hit when it came out in the summer of 1984. Paul Fieg’s recent revamp didn’t fare quite as well. Despite an all-star cast, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call took a $70 million loss at the box office, scuttling Sony’s plans for a sequel.

Franchise creator Aykroyd has been trying to get a sequel to the first two Ghostbusters films off the ground since the ’90s with little success, although the original cast did reunite for Ghostbusters: The Video Game in 2009.

Despite that, Ghostbusters continues to flourish, with virtual reality attractionsPokémon Go-inspired mobile games, and comic books keeping the brand alive. Reitman’s sequel isn’t the only Ghostbusters film on the slate, either: Sony is developing an animated Ghostbusters feature, although that won’t come out until after Reitman’s sequel hits theaters.

Updated on January 16, 2019: Added the teaser trailer for the film.

The New Ghostbusters Movie Already Has a Teaser, but Don't Expect Much

The Ecto-1 is back.

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

The world has barely had half a day to digest the news that Jason Reitman is making a new Ghostbusters movie, but there’s already a teaser.

In true teaser fashion, there’s not a lot here in terms of substance. But it sets a mood and a tone we aren’t used to, while raising a few questions. Check it out, thanks to Entertainment Weekly.

What we do see and hear in that trailer is some familiar music. Some familiar noises. Someone is working on something in a barn. It lights up. Then, obviously, the reveal of the Ecto-1 being hidden in said barn. That seems to be the biggest clue here. Yes, someone is working on a proton pack or something similar. Who that is or why they are doing that, we don’t know. But the car, under the tarp, in a barn, may just suggest that after the events of Ghostbusters II, the Ghostbusters had actually won and there was no need for them anymore. So the Ecto-1 was put in a garage (definitely outside of Manhattan) to collect dust for a few decades and, well, now it’s needed.

That’s all guesswork but it’s my first impression.

The camerawork and cinematography also give off a more Evil Dead/Stranger Things vibe than the original Ghostbuster films, which came out in 1984 and 1989 and were both directed by Jason’s father Ivan. So you have to think the director of Up in the Air and Thank You For Smoking is also hinting that his film will feel and look a little different this time around.

Filming on the new Ghostbusters is reportedly scheduled to start later this year with an eye on that summer 2020 release date. Rumor has it, Reitman is looking for four teenagers for the main roles. We’ll keep you posted.

#5 To Catch a Predator • Stamford • Chris Hansen To catch a predator – Home

To catch a predator

To catch a predator updated their cover photo.

‘To Catch a Predator’ host charged with bouncing checks to Stamford merchant

Updated

Hansen, 59, was charged Monday with issuing a bad check and released after signing a written promise to appear in court. Hansen did not immediately return a call Tuesday for comment.

According to a four-page arrest affidavit, Hansen asked Peter Psichopaidas, owner of Promotional Sales Limited of Summer Street, for 355 ceramic mugs, 288 T-shirts and 650 vinyl decals. Hansen planned to use them at marketing events, the affidavit said.

The total amount due was $12,998.05, and Psichopaidas said Hansen agreed to pay the entire bill before delivery, police said.

Three months after receiving invoices for the goods in September 2017, a person working for Hansen sent a Hansen News LLC check for the entire amount, police said.

But police said the check bounced and Psichopaidas spoke to Hansen, who apologized and attempted to make a partial payment. Psichopaidas filed a complaint with police last April when he was still not paid.

Investigator Sean Coughlin called Hansen, who agreed to make a statement at the Stamford police station, but never showed up, the affidavit said.

Psichopaidas said a few days later, he refused Hansen’s offer to make four partial payments.

Hansen then promised his wife would drop off a check, but she never showed up, the affidavit said.

Coughlin warned Hansen that he had been given ample time to pay the invoice, and if he failed to do so, he would be arrested for larceny.

“I told Chris that I understood that he may have trouble, but that nearly $13,000 is a lot of money to a ‘mom-and-pop’ business and it is not fair that he accepted the material but hasn’t paid for it,” the affidavit said.

On April 27, 2018, Psichopaidas said he received a personal check from Hansen for $13,200, which bounced three days later, the affidavit said.

Hansen emailed Psichopaidas the day the check bounced.

“Peter ... I truly thought I had this covered,” Hansen wrote, according to the affidavit. “I am scrambling to get it done. Please give me till the end of the day. I sold a boat to cover the rest of this and need to pick up the payment this afternoon.”

But another check never came and an arrest warrant was issued for Hansen, who turned himself over to police on Monday and was released without bond.

“To Catch a Predator” was a news show through the lens of a hidden camera that documented encounters with men who had been lured by decoys after they made online contact with people they believed to be underage children. The men were confronted, questioned by Hansen and arrested by local police.

The show was canceled in 2008, but episodes continued to air on MSNBC.

Hello Again and Thanks for reading it is I David "Top40" Ellenberger with an update on the status of my lawsuit against Alphabet inc case #20-CV-04877-SVK  and the website and life in general. By now if you regularly visit InternetTop40.com you may have read this section "author info" or Bio. So I am adding to it with more bio and more info. I originally liked the idea of voting on the internet 20-25 years ago when I first got online with WebTV (does anyone remember that?). The technology at that time was not advanced enough to easily be able to vote online or watch videos or much else for that matter but I was hooked and look at what we can do now with videos, IOT, and everything else, but I digress. I started InternetTop40.com about 5 years ago and the user base has been going up steadily ever since. I wanted to be another Facebook, with music and voting and that is all coming together slowly but surely. BTW if you want to help or have any interest please feel free to email me anytime.  Now in my previous Author Info or bio page I made it clear or at least I thought I made it clear, I am personally suing Alphabet inc. in Federal Court for Fraud. I have evidence to prove they are not counting all the pageviews, among other things and defrauding myself and probably millions of other website owners and content creators out of Billions of dollars. So if I wasn't clear or you didn't know it's true I am suing Alphabet inc. in Federal Court for Fraud the case was recently moved from my state of Kentucky to N. California to make it easier for Alphabet inc. to steam roll me or so they think. Needless to say if you are interested and I hope you are you can look the case up online under my name "David Russell Ellenberger" or the case # which is 20-CV-04877-SVK.

Now, I want to make it clear to you and everyone that I am not suing Alphabet inc. aka Google for fraud just because I want a million dollars for nothing. I am suing Google for fraud because I think they are committing  a serious crime with worldwide and societal ramifications, it is a  very serious problem.  I am suing Google for fraud because to put it simply the analytics numbers don't add up at least not in my favor or yours, there is something very fishy going on with the Google analytics numbers. Of course Google has an excuse for every one of them but I have reasons and the actual numbers and they don't add up, more about the numbers later. Companies like Google are making Billions of dollars a year in profits telling us data is the most valuable thing and misleading us and misdirecting the media and the world every chance they can.  Now data is valuable and they are making billions in profits seemingly like magic but there is no magic to it just corruption and lies. One thing Alphabet inc. aka Google is really making their money from and that is advertising dollars and they are putting all of this advertising on the websites other people have created. Websites that I have created and  websites you have created and websites millions of others around the world have created websites or content. For example Just writing a text is creating content and that's where Google puts the billions in advertising they receive and keeping most of it for themselves. Yes content others have created and yet somehow they are keeping almost all of these billions for themselves and not distributing it equitably to the real workers the true content creators who actually deserve the advertising monies. Google has made it's billions on the backs of you and me. Think about that for a minute, how can they continue to justify this? They Can't, it has to change.

I David Russell Ellenberger through my website InternetTop40.com am suing Google to try to help right a wrong. A wrong committed by Google that has simply gotten out of hand. Most people may think they can't do anything about it. Nothing can stop Google, the politicians don't care they use all of Googles data to further their own campaigns and line their own pockets while the rest of us keep on creating the content for Google, nothing can be done, this however is not the case, we can do something. The politicians and Alphabet inc. aka Google have done nothing to help society at large other than organize it so they can keep more money in secret and pay off all their buddies with their fraudulently obtained money. It's gotten so bad that the politicians and others in control won't even talk about it, they ignore it and hope it goes away, they won't even try to stop google because it is helping them too much and maybe they are scared of Google or who knows what they may be thinking. But it looks like fraud and it's coming to an end.

I'm telling you we can do something and I David Russell Ellenberger an average citizen Content Creator am saying to you, I'm not scared of Google because I have nothing left to loose.  I David Russell Ellenberger am telling you there is something you too can do, if nothing else, tell all your friends to come to InternetTop40.com aka IT40, believe these words and Create your Content. Further I promise to you and all who read this if I do prevail in my lawsuit against Alphabet Inc. I will use half of any monies I may receive to pay "content creators" a living wage. I pledge to anyone who is reading this, I will use half of any monies I may receive to help those who really do want to work on the internet and create content and tell us what they think. I will use half of any money so you can Get Paid, I want you to get paid for the content you create and get paid everyday and Get Paid to Vote create data and to be able to do this work online and from your home or anywhere in the world you care to be. Because in the words of an ancient scholar Y-O-U are the business Y-O-U are creating all the data, Y-O-U are the content creators and Y-O-U are all that matters.

Now the main thing I want you to take away form this and to know, Alphabet inc. is and has been committing fraud against you, me and everyone who uses the internet. I don't think Google started out to defraud the world it has just degenerated into this endless morass of corruption and fraud and no one seems to care, Well I care and I know you care too.  Sadly Google has been doing this with impunity for years and it is only getting worse. Please don't let them fool you with their lies and obfuscation. Do some research create some content build a website and research the analytics numbers you will find I am right. Google owes you, me and everyone online thousands if not 10's of thousands of dollars for all the data and advertising dollars they have co-opted from you and the rest of the world. So join with me don't use any Google products or file your own lawsuit in federal court against Alphabet inc. I will be glad to help you any way I can and show you how to do it if need be. It will take a sincere effort on your part but it will definitely help your self esteem, society and the world.

Now that's about all I have to say on this subject for now.  I will tell you this if you want more information or you have questions or comments for me, my email is [email protected] Thank you for reading looking and listening and believing in InternetTop40.com Please tell all your friends about us and don't forget to vote Thumbs up or down and refresh your page when your done. oh yeah and those funny old men running for president vote on one of them too or not. One last Thing, I need all the help I can get I am only 1 person but together and with todays technology we can move mountains and reframe society and our world the way we want it to be. Thank you ttyl
