Good afternoon and welcome to our liveblog for the big game of the weekend. Fourth-placed Tottenham host third-placed Chelsea at Wembley, and with just one point separating the two London sides there's more than just bragging rights at stake.
Considering Tottenham's disappointing record against the other top four teams - two losses at home to Man City and Liverpool - you would expect Mauricio Pochettino to be willing his team to a much-needed victory in this department. However his pre-match approach has far from resembled fighting talk.
Instead he has described a lack of "belief" Spurs are suffering from at home, due to their extended stay at Wembley. “[At White Hart Lane] we started games thinking we were going to win. Against Man United or Chelsea, it didn’t matter, the most important was that your belief was bigger than everything," he said.
“At the moment, that belief and that condition, is not the same. We are waiting to move to the new stadium because it is a massive and fantastic stadium and start to build that belief that we can beat everyone and be consistent during the season and try to fight for big things.”
His Chelsea counter-part Maurizio Sarri didn't seem to be brimming with confidence either, billing the match-up as a 'best of the rest' tie, claiming again that City and Liverpool will be difficult to catch.
Here's hoping their approach won't reflect on the game at hand. Both teams had reason to celebrate pre-international break: Spurs are on a four-game winning streak and Chelsea are still part of the top flight's exclusive unbeaten club. One team's momentum could be cut short today, and we'll be there to keep you updated on every second of the action, with some analysis thrown in too. Kick-off is at 5:30pm, with team announcements expected shortly.
