Detailed Test Results
Design and features:Although this portable on-ear model uses a closed design, these headphones don’t form a tight seal with the ears so you’ll be able to hear a doorbell ring, or car horn while wearing these headphones. They have medium-high sensitivity, so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with home audio equipment and even lower-powered portable audio devices. The P3 has a volume control plus an integrated microphone and player function controls that are compatible with iPads, some iPods, and some iPhones and some other cellphones. The call connect/disconnect button can be used with some iPhones and some other cellphones. The earcups on this model can fold for traveling or storage. The headphones come with a detachable standard audio cable, a detachable alternate audio cable with built-in remote and mic for iPod/iPhone connections, and a storage case.
Sound quality: We found the P3 delivers good overall sound quality, with a warm character. Bass has good impact, but is smeared and lacks detail and definition. Midrange is muffled and a bit nasal and grainy, and treble is soft with an upper treble roll-off. Overall sound is closed in, with so-so dynamics.
Comfort: We found that these headphones are generally comfortable; there is a sense of moderately light pressure on the ears. The cloth ear pads might feel hot after prolonged use.
