Refrigerators are one of the most expensive appliances you or your family may ever buy. You should therefore make an informed decision. Most of the time you buy a home the appliances come with it, but what if they break down or you need a more room in your “fridge!” Well then you are going to have to buy one its something that every home, condo apartment or room needs. You could eat out every meal, but what do you do with the leftovers? What if you need Ice? These are things that only a refrigerator can supply. This list of of refrigerator models with the freezer on top. What we like to call a basic “fridge” the main thing to consider is the size, but a little more space can cost hundreds of dollars. Most come with ice makers but then you have to think of a water line to the fridge. So basically it all comes down to price, and again we recommend buying the biggest fridge you can afford. So make sure you have the space wherever its going to be put a tape measure is a good idea measure the old fridge or the space it came from or just buy the cheapest one that looks good and get the extended warranty, and Please VOTE for the fidge brand or model you have or want to buy! Thank you! ttyl
#1 Blomberg BRFT1522SS
About $1000.00
The Blomberg BRFT1522SS is part of the Refrigerator test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Top-freezer refrigerator models like the BRFT1522SS are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.
Thermostat control: This assesses the ability of the refrigerator's thermostat to 1) achieve the desired initial set temperatures following manufacturer's recommendations 2) achieve optimum temperatures in both the fresh food and freezer sections simultaneously and 3) keep internal temperatures constant despite large changes in room temperature.
Temperature uniformity: This performance test is based on how well a model minimizes warm and cold spots within its fresh food and freezer sections.
Energy efficiency: This reflects electricity consumption (based on our tests) per cubic foot of measured usable storage space. For example, two refrigerators with the same energy cost per year may have different energy efficiencies -- the unit with more storage space being more efficient.
